Cerneală dye Canon seria GI, ambalaj 60 ml, culoare magenta, cod GI-43 <M>, pentru Canon PIXMA G540 şi G640.
Cerneala dye Epson conţine în cea mai mare parte apă pură (80% - 90%), coloranţi dye dizolvaţi în ea şi alte componente hidrosolubile. Cel mai important aspect al cernelurilor este rezistenţa la decolorare care se produce sub acţiunea luminii din spectrul UV şi sub acţiunea oxigenului. Din acest punct de vedere cernelurile dye sunt recomandate pentru tipărirea imaginilor sau a documentelor care nu necesită rezistenţă îndelungată. În procesul de tipărire, picăturile de cerneală sunt atrase electrostatic de stratul superior al hârtiei şi se fixează în acesta, timpul de stabilizare a picăturilor de cerneală, rezoluţia de print şi într-o anumită măsură rezistenţa la decolorare fiind determinate de tipul de coating de pe suprafaţa hârtiei. Cele mai bune rezultate se pot obţine utilizând hârtia profesională RC care oferă un timp de stabilizare a picăturilor de cerneală sub 100 de milisecunde, permite o rezoluţie de până la 9600 dpi şi o rezistenţă la decolorare de până la 7 ani în condiţii de arhivare (în album), respectiv câteva luni expusă la lumină.
